Overview
The 6-day Marangu Route is the only Kilimanjaro route that offers accommodation in mountain huts instead of tents, making it one of the most comfortable ways to climb Africa’s highest mountain. Often referred to as the “Coca-Cola Route,” this trail follows a gradual path through beautiful landscapes and diverse ecosystems.
Trekkers pass through lush rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert before reaching the glaciers of Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). The extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut increases the chances of a successful summit while allowing trekkers to explore the surrounding scenery.
